What do I do if my lights are not on for my reservation?

If your lights are not on for your reservation, please call the main department line at 972-625-1106. A staff member will be able to help you immediately by figuring out the issue. If you have a rental not during the hours the department line is answered, please email kgeorge@thecolonytx.gov

When do lights turn on?

Lights are set by staff either 15 minutes prior to your reservation or 30 minutes prior to sunset. The time of the year determines how we set lights for your reservation. During day light savings time a majority of reservations are set 30 minutes prior to sunset unless a reservation starts after that time then we set 15 minutes prior. During the winter months when it gets dark earlier lights are set 15 minutes prior to your reservation start time.
